Windshield fogging? I found a solution?
I live in the Caribbean and you would think that this problem would not happen here, right?
Well like many, my 997.2 C2 has this incessant problem with the deteriorating foam that's used to seal the ducts that channel air to the dash, floor and the windshield vents. I'm constantly pulling foam pieces from the dash vents and see no end to this problem... well at least until all the foam is gone. That same deterioration causes some of the A/C air to be directed to the windshield ducts even though I've selected the dash vents.
So why is this a problem in a place where year round temperatures never dip below mid 70's? Well because I use my car's A/C all the time AND because of ample rain and sunshine that causes humidity levels to be always above 70%. Hence and with the A/C on, this high humidity and the cold air leaked through the windshield air vents causes fogging!
Having defined the problem, I think that I've may have found a solution. Namely, a product called "Vision Vents" that redirects air coming out of the windshield vents away from the windshield and towards the cabin. I've just ordered it so I don't have first hand knowledge of its effectiveness but it looks good on paper and I'm tired of having to use my windshield wipers to clear the condensation and fog.
Anyway, here's the link for anyone that's interested along with the caveat that I've not received no compensation nor gratuities for providing this information. https://visionvents.com/products/ols...sche-model-996
BTW, I've also found that they have a 20% Off Coupon (VVIG22) valid through 08/15/2022 which brings the price down from $349 to $279. I'm sure that forum member EMC2 could probably come up with something similar and more cost friendly. But then again I also paid $325 for Zunsport steel mesh grill guards when many here are making their own with plastic rain gutter mesh fastened with plastic cable ties. So for those old enough to remember... Different Strokes for Different Folks!

Give us some feedback on how well these fit, look and work once you get them installed. Interested!
Thank you!

I’d like to know how well these work. I have the same issue in Florida. The cold air from the ac on the windshield creates similar moisture that forms on the outside of a cold glass. Have to use the wipers to remove the condensation. If you turn the defroster on it blows out hot air which is the last thing you want when it’s 95 degrees out.
Believe me, I've tried all the settings and combinations thereof!
