(Brake) Liquid in the frunk?
Hi Rennlisteres,
I got to the bottom of the frunk on my newly bought 997.2 and there I found a puddle of yellow liquid (consistency is the same as the brake fluid).
The brake fluid reservoir is full, however (even seems overfilled - probably by the seller). I cleaned it to see if the puddle will form again. After few days, I opened the frunk again and (a very small) puddle of the same liquid was there, again. The brake fluid reservoir still maxed however.
I am curious if you have any idea what this could be... we were thinking that the overfilled brake fluid reservoire could be "releasing" the extra liquid, but not sure that is even possible.
Thanks!

Burning Brakes
A truly overfilled brake fluid reservoir will barf liquid out. To test whether it's that or a leak take out some of the fluid to get the level closer to min and try again. (Oven basting tool into old water bottle is good for that. Don't reuse that fluid once you've taken it out. Try to clean up neatly any little spills.)
PS: you'll need to remove the little filter insert to get deeper into the reservoir; thin pliers are good for that or a small screwdriver.

Common with over filled fluid.
To see if it's leaking, use a rubber band to attach a microfiber to the outside of the reservoir cap and do your thing. If it's soaked at all, you can try to remove some fluid. I'd also recommend replacing the reservoir cap.
I had this issue when I used to track my car. Fluid heats, expands and the reservoir burps/overflows a bit.
If you find no fluid in the microfiber (paper towel is fine too) but still see fluid, you may have a hose leak.

Def brake fluid. I did this to my .2 on the first time I did a brake fluid flush myself. I think my undoing was not fully understanding how to use the motive bleeder and I think I overpressurized. Had a whole morning of getting the liquid out the next day and shampooing the liner!
