Default Coding additional keys AFTER new Alpine head unit installed...

I posted this before but can't find it now...has anyone had new keys coded for their car but also have a new non-OEM/Porsche head unit installed? My mechanic has PIWIS and can't code more than one key at a time and can't delete any old keys they may be stored in the car somewhere. He can program each "new" key fine but only one at a time, disables any other key that was programmed right before if that makes sense. He thinks I may need the original head unit, which I have since sold. If no one has had this issue, I may have to contact the darn dealer...
