I replaced only one but I will probably replace the second as well. Looks like there is an updated part 9A1-105-308-02 vs 9A1-105-308-03.

On the 9A1 it's very easy, right next to the spark plugs under the heat shield.

Thanks for posting.

I suffered similar symptoms after a clutch stall backing up my driveway. (like before).

Battery disconnect fixed it again. For now. Lasted a year and a half last time, until my next clutch stall.

Think I will replace the solenoids and css prophylactically, rather than spend $500 on diagnostics.

I believe intake manifold boot seals can cause this condition as well. There are four sealing surfaces and each as to be perfect. Not sure if they would have moved the engine or somehow disturbed these, but it is cheap to check.
