So, I have an iCarsoft CR Pro, and an iCarsoft PorV3. Neither of these allows me to reset the oil service message - they both say "This function is not supported on this vehicle!" I have updated both to the latest software with the Windows app.

Do I need to downgrade to a PorV2?

I had same problem with my Icarsoft on my 2008 997 until I selected model year 2007 (or was it 2009?) in the Icarsoft, then it worked.

I've got 4 different OBD II readers. None of them would reset a friend's 997.1. Glad to see this thread pop up again. I'm sending him Adias's suggestion. Hopefully that will be a solution.

Well. That's aggravating. I just sent mine back today. Thanks for the tip! Maybe I will buy it again.

ICarSoft goes by the Porsche model year start for example for my 2911 997.2 I select 2009 since that is the year that the 997.2 came out. I assume if I had it when I owned an 08, I would select any year between 2005 and 2008 (depending on the available years provided) and get positive results
