Burning smell after driving

Burning smell after driving
Almost every time I drive any distance, when I get out, I have a slightly burning smell. No problems,
I own a 2008 997.1 C4S cabriolet.
I’m just wondering if that’s the clutch or is systemic of something else? Anyone experience that too?

I have the same smell. Sometimes with the top down when stopped at a light for example, the smell can waft up to the driver's seat. I do not have any leaks I can see and the oil consumption is better than normal. Mine has 39k miles and nothing noted during thed 40k service. Probably normal.

The smell has been blamed as tires close to mufflers by some. My experience with imported industrial machinery makes me think cosmoline. After somewhere near to 100K miles my perfume went away, indicating a VOC of some sort was most likely sprayed to protect parts during shipping.
Regarding mention of a tick ... Bruce, you can be a real SOB when you put your mind to it!!!!!!
