Default Shop recommendation

Hi All,

I'm looking for independent repair shop specializing in our vehicles in the area of south NY or NJ (I'm in Staten Island). Most likely I need a new clutch but possibly more work.

Thanks in advance.

You can try Dion at Drive Auto in Mountainside NJ. (off Goethals to route 22, not to far from SI). Have heard very good things and knows Porsches. I will be using them for my next service work based on what I hear as I was not happy with my prior Indy's billing practices. Go to the website, give them a call.

I've had work done by PowerTech Porsche in Rockaway, NJ for my old '86 3.2, my 996 (which I bought from them).
I've had only positive experiences with them.

My old 997 had it's engine rebuilt by BodyMotion in Ocean Township, NJ (IMS failure under previous owner, non P-car dealer had it rebuilt)

I did use their services for break-in and maintenance for a couple years until I moved across the country.
They do have cars that they officially race. I would recommend them, but I think they're pricier than PowerTech.

Are you a PCA member? I always recommend any shop who advertises in your regions monthly mag. Here in NY, all the shops advertising in the Metro Post are excellent. If NJ is preferable, look up NNJR's advertisers.
