Default Coolant top off

2007 Carrera S

Noticed my coolant is slightly below the MIN marker, maybe 1/2 - 1 inch.

Also noticed there is either Porsche brand, or this Zerex brand(pink).

Any issues using one over the other?

And for topping off this small amount, should I go for:
1. the concentrate bottle(needs to be diluted with distilled water)
2. the bottles that are "ready to pour"(coolant and antifreeze)
3. Pour just straight from the concentrate (with no diluting necessary)

Thanks!

IMO, if only low a little, I’d just put in a little distilled water. I’d be more concerned with why the level is a little low. Maybe check on top of the coolant cap for what the last 2 numbers are. If they end in 00, get a newer version cap. The latest ones I think are up to 04.

Ah yes, I forgot that option. I might do that.

And thank you for providing the remark about checking the digits on the cap. I will do that when I head out of the office today.

Do I assume I have the “newer” cap ending in 04?

Upon exam of the cap I do not see any evidence it is leaking. No crust or residue

and there’s how much I am low on coolant in regard to the MIN marker

I'd start by checking your coolant reservoir, they're prone to hairline cracks and you'll might see a crusty white trail on it. Then check around the tsta and water pump for any evidence of leaking.

That’s a newer cap so you’re good there if there’s no crusty residue around it. Like Dk27 said, you may need to check around other areas to see if you have residue. Could even be a rock hit and made a pinhole leak in one of your front radiators inside your front bumper. Just top up above the Min line and monitor to see if it drops again.
