Default 997 Springs - Turbo Springs on a Non-Turbo?

Anyone know if 997 turbo springs will fit on a non-turbo? I'm looking at a set of Eibach lowering springs that came from an 08 Turbo, and the seller thinks they'll fit my 07 C2 cab. Before I get the car all apart lol... would love to know if anyone has tried to fit either the factory turbo springs onto a non-turbo, and even better, turbo Eibach springs on a non-turbo. Yes I tried to search for this on here... came up empty.

Thanks in advance!

Mike

I think they will 'fit' as the strut assembly is similar. But the heights and spring rates will be incorrect. Turbos are a few hundred pounds heavier.

A set of springs is already fairly cheap, don't risk it for a hundred bucks.

Edit,
Eibach lists C4 and Turbo springs as the same part number, 7222.140. C2 has a different part number, 7217.140

AWD springs are the same for most part - meaning C4 / C4S and Turbo can interchange slight tuning differences but they can be fitted without an issue.

Rear AWD springs are the same as C2/C2S/RWD , front are different due to front strut mounting which is larger on AWD cars with offset.

If anyone is looking for some AWD springs I do have some H&Rs from AWD/C4/C4S of cheap!

Interesting... I assume the AWDs are also heavier and thus have differing spring rates from RWDs?

Only heavier upfront ~ 100lbs and rear is nearly identical !
100lbs of weight may translate to perhaps around1/4" difference in height .

That's why you'll note most coil overs will have slightly higher rate on AWD cars about 50-100lb/inch in added rate.
PDK / Tip cars may also have the same but otherwise no difference in the rear.

Yes, you are correct - 997.2 generation spring rates are (n/mm)

C2 PDK
Front 27
Rear 46

C4 PDK
Front 30
Rear 46

Turbo
Front 36
Rear 60 - 90 Progressive

Non PDK cars have slightly different rear spring rates, the AWD drive cars have larger diameter at the top of the front springs due to the slightly different suspension geometry. So Turbo front springs will fit AWD cars but not RWD cars, rears are interchangeable.
So turbo springs on a C4 would be very similar to putting Eibachs on, with slightly less lowering effect.
