Whistling mirrors
So I'm really loving my 1st waterpumper. It's an 06 C2S cab. The one thing that may wind up driving me nuts is the mirrors.
Seems like if I have the top & windows down I get an annoying whistle at around 50mph+
If I put the windows up 6-7" it's gone.....but WTF
Aside from changing mirrors, has anyone found another way to eliminate this?
Thanks!

This was a common problem on early models. I had mine fixed under warranty on my 2005 997 back in 2007. I wish I could tell you exactly what they did. From what I recall, there was air flowing through a gap in the mirror and they sealed it up somewhere. I would suggest applying masking tape to suspect areas and then test and see if the sound disappears. Then us clear silicone to seal them permanently and invisibly.

My 2005 C2S Cab left mirror did the same thing. Air is getting in at the seam between the top and bottom haves. I dismounted the mirror, removed the internal mechanism and smeared some sealant in the seam area between the too halves. Whistle gone...

I do fold them in the storage position when parked in the garage so they move freely
Funny thing with all the wind tunnel & engineering that this design got thru.
Do do list for sure!
