Make sure you use a Porsche brand brake light switch. My Indy replaced mine with a non OEM brand and it came on again (and charged me over 300$) needless to say, no longer my Indy. New Indy replaced with the Porsche part and all good for 150$.

By chance is your brake pedal sticking at all, i.e. not coming all the way back up by say 1/4-1/2 inch? Where did you get the switch from? Did you put in a second one? Did you scan or not?
