Default Stereo relay?

is there a relay that might have something to do with intermittent stereo sound?

I see fuses D-F9 & D-F10.

Thanks

Posted there a while back.

Yes&No. Their problems seem to be heat related, maybe. Problems after warm up.

Mine appear to be cold related. doesnt work when cold then works when ambient temp warms up.

No easy diagnosis.

Someone else had posted either here or on 6Speed a similar issue - their stereo only worked when warm, not when cold (no resolution was posted, btw). This could be from a cracked solder joint caused from a heavy component not braced to the circuit board, like a capacitor not flush. Possibly that could be your issue.

Makes sense.

Im leaning towards aftermarket upgrade. Better sound, less hassle.

Other maintenance Im better at fixing.

I'll try the connections, fuses, relay?s etc.

Im happy recapping my 70's receiver, but if its the oem amp/head unit, I'm going aftermarket.

Heck its almost 20yrs old.

Ouch.

Local stealershp priced me roughly $800 for the amp and $2500 for the head unit.
