Semi solid engine mounts. Who got em, what do you think about them?
Currently driving 2010 997.2 Carrera S, stock suspension.
54,000 miles. Thinking about having semi solid engine mounts
Installed for a more performance type of ride. What are your thoughts about them after installation? Any regrets?

I put Wevo semi-solids on my Turbo as my first mod and love them. Relatively cheap, easy to install, and made a noticeable improvement in just the overall sensation of tightness and "race car." Added a smidge of pleasant NVH which is a good thing in a 10+ year old 911 in my opinion. Truly don't understand the people who want these cars to be cushy and soft and numb, semi-solid engine mounts are a far cry from a clackity lightweight flywheel or straight pipe exhaust or something only suited for a racetrack.

I fitted ERO 964 RS mounts (knock offs) stiffer and funner..
Exciting seat buzz at 1800 rpm.
Makes car feel alive..
Be sure to get the upgraded 45mm support washers. Stops the thin curved/cup washer from bending up from a "G" out.

I have the RSS engine mounts installed for a few months now. Engine noise and vibration coming into the cabin has been increased along with tighter feel in the rear of the car. I consider the increased noise and vibration to be a added bonus as this is what I'm after in a sports car.

We use them on a case by case basis for the DFI cars. Got a 6 speed? No worries. Got a PDK and no sport chrono... then the idle speed is very very low on these DFI cars and it will vibrate more. If you have software with a slightly raised idle... it goes away (about 50rpms).

OEM style mounts with added 3M Window Weld, are working well for me. Stiffer than stock, but no intense buzz around 3000 rpm. Semi-solids do make driving exciting, for sure.

I have the rennline adjustable mounts with the blue inserts installed currently in my 997.1 C2. The car is a 6 speed and has coilovers and muffler bypass pipes so it rides harshly and is loud anyway. Definitely tightened up how the car feels. Hard to describe but having the engine held in more solidly makes cornering feel better.

May want to consider going with Function First mounts. I've read quite a few good reviews on them from fellow Rennlisters who have installed them.
