Default PCCM plus install for 997

Has anybody here tried to see if it is possible to get the PCCM+ installed in a 997?

Has not been announced or released yet for the 997. I will be a buyer when it is released.

If you're asking if you could retrofit a 996 one to a 997 car, I would probably just wait for a possible 997 version.

There’s already a very active thread for this topic. Several pages long. I would say you can’t miss it, but... .

I think the question is if the 996 version can go in a 997.

If this was possible, I would think Porsche would have it marketed as such.

Yes, OEM solution from Porsche that has CarPlay. Also has the option of a standalone map option/nav option, that is an optional extra.

As far as what I read so far, The rear connection are the same between 996 and 997. it is just the front frame that is different. Real question is would the lower part of the 997 fit?
I was thinking of making a front plastic frame (fascia) and move them from the 996 PCCM. those can be painted for special painted optioned 997, Silver for most 997.1 or even satin black for 997.2

Unfortunately I'm not sure how much the mold would cost. there is a potential business opportunity here as I've seen lots of people now where carplay is essential for them. I move between carplay and none carplay cars and the difference is night and day.

Even with a magnetic mount bolted to my PCM 2.1 I still feel the native hand-free option is better. Although Porsche supplied a external mic on the 996. I hope they properly retrofit the mic in the 997 to have a clean look instead of those short coming under the steering rack solutions.

And give us a proper center console with USB-C and USB A /AUX connection in the center console rest (Upgrade those from 997.2)
