Default Where does this go?

I jacked up the car today and remove the underbody covers to get to the tpm central antenna which is between the water pipes in the middle of the car. When I crawled out from under the car I saw the attached on the floor.

It's part number 99970347641 and is called a cowl panel grommet.

A clue might be that when I jacked the car, a hose pointed down on the pass side near the front lift point was pushed in about 1/4" due to the placement of the quickjack.

Any idea of where it goes?

Thanks
Myron

I dont have the PET in front of me, but that looks like a cowl drain hole grommet.. Possibly one of the drains near the battery tray.

Just leave it out. Too much crap gets stuck in those and doesn’t drain.

I think the hose you are seeing is the air con condenser hose - it's supposed to hang down slightly below the floor pan.
Looks like your part goes up in the trim panels around the frunk - No 6 in the diagram....

I will look at it tomorrow. As I understand it, there should be 3 of these in the upper frunk area. Will see if I have all three. If so, I wonder if the part that I found had spent years just sitting on top of the belly pan.

2009 C2S 167K miles

That is a drain plug used around the battery compartment. I think there are four of them. Rob is right, they clog constantly.... leaves etc get washed in there, turn to gunk, and you end up with a swimming pool of water around your battery. To clear, just ram your finger into the bung and let 'er flow.

Peace

The water drains -1-and -2- can be found on both sides of the vehicle (only vehicles with sliding roof).

1 - Water drain: rear of sliding roof
2 - Water drain: front of sliding roof
3 - Water drain: tank tray
4 - Water drain: plenum panel
5 - Water drain: plenum panel (vehicles without luggage compartment ventilation)

I found #3 on the pass side, and two of the #4's on the drivers side. Where is the third number 4 which appears to be in the middle? Do I need to remove the battery and is it under that?

I’m having real trouble not saying something wildly inappropriate here.
