Default H&R springs/ Shock Combo

Just bought a set of H&R Springs 29188-1 for my '05 997.1 coupe. Need feedback as to what shocks most people are happy with. I use this car for street use no track time.

I've used stock and they were fine. Usually B6 or B8 Bilstein would be one to choose for a responsive, smooth and shock designed for lowering springs.

I’m on stock shocks with the DSC controller as well and am very happy with the setup.

So like others here have said, Stock shocks work fine. However they were not designed for the HR spring rates and low setting. So if you search around people have said that the OEM shocks usually wear out faster with lowering springs. B6's are also not designed for the lower setting but, they are stiffer and more sport oriented so theyre definitely not a bad choice. The preferred choice would be the B8's, they are designed to be lower and match a lowered spring with higher spring rate. They were created as the sportiest and lowest option for an OEM ride (with or without PASM) with springs to match (aftermarket)...
I just bought B8's w/ PASM for about 1700 shipped and theyll go with my HR springs for my 2006 911 S, so Im in the same boat but I did a ton of research..

B6's are by far cheaper and suitable, while OEM shocks work just fine... Just keep in mind the wear/tear of the OEM parts with the more aggressive setup (spring)..

Great info! Where did you purchase the B8 shocks?

FCP euro, I just got the shipment notification and purchased them about a week ago, so I'm assuming they have them in stock. Also, like mentioned above, the DCS controller plus Bilsteins is incredible if you want to go a step further.
