Virgin owner of a 2007 997 Base model
I was washing my car this afternoon and found this screw behind the left rear wheel under the bumper.

Photos are attached.

Should I be concerned?
The screw doesn’t look weathered so I’m suspecting it’s coming from the innnee compartments of the car

I cant think of many Philips-head fasteners on a 997, there are a few but one that size doesn't ring a bell. The screw holding in the taillights on my car are phillips, but much shorter than that one.

 

I think this screw can be from anywhere on the car, not necessarily from the rear of the car.
I found it after much rinsing so the water could’ve push it to the rear of the wheel from its origin.

Car was in the shop 1.5 week ago for clutch replacement. Maybe it’s related?

 

I dont think its from the car. is it possible that its from something else in the garage?

 

It was found on the driveway, so it could be. But I haven’t driven the 997 since pulling it out for the car wash today and my other daily car doesn’t usually drive through this section of the driveway

 

Porsche prefer torx heads. I don’t think that’s from your car.
