You can buy tools for a few $ to ‘de-pin’ different terminals, including the very standard type shown here. The pins are designed for removal but also designed to be secure in the plug, hence the tool. In the pics you can see the angled spring tabs on each side which the tool depresses, you can also use tiny screwdriver but tool makes it fast and easy. Shove over terminal, pull at rear, crimped connector slides out.
