Do Not Buy from Kurt At Dr911.CA - You will be scammed

I recently purchased a number of genuine Porsche parts from Kurt. Turns out the parts were not genuine and he refused accountability. My experience is apparently, quite common:

It looks like fellow RL members have even worse horror stories of Kurt:

Kurt was also arrested for fraud:

Domestic guys are not immune from his bad practices either:

Hi folks, FYI I recently came across this guy under the name dr911ca on ebay. I was looking at some 944 pop up headlights. I messaged with a question, he told me that he wrecks around 20 944s each year. Glad I checked RL first! Anyone have recent experience with him thru ebay? His profile has 3787 reviews, mostly positive, trying to understand how that happened...

eBay discourages the buyer from leaving bad feedback nowadays. They make it harder to do these days, especially with a seller that has that amount of sales. The disputing is done behind the scenes internally with eBay. You may get your money back and they usually side with the buyer.

**Hey I forgot I sold a car to this piece of Sh_t Scammer - Heres my RL beware Thread - Check it out:
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...er-beware.html

I know the guy you are talking about. He is a well known Scammer- He owns an Antique store in some small town outside of Vancouver Canada.
Be lucky you weren't one of the many many buyers scammed out of car ownership from making purchases across the country on cars which this scammer didn't own.
Hard to believe people send cashiers checks on car photos they see 3500 miles away.
Do some research - He goes by Kurtis Eugene Pomerleau or Kurt Vachon and a few other names Search the Pelican Early 911 Forum for their scammer Thread. Lots of horrible stories.
Owes probably over $1Million by now and keeps it going. Local Canadian Police won't touch him.
This guy is a big timer serial scammer - BEWARE:

I literally bought from this guy a few days ago on eBay. Granted I used paypal and my CC just in case. What am I in for?

He owes over $1million USD from scams, surprised he is still walking.

I also recently bought something from Kurt. It was wrong, I paid via paypal and tried to return it. Of-course he said he would accept the part back as long as not used ...yada yada. When the part was shipped back to him. He refused the shipment. It stayed in Customs forever. I finally got the part sent back to me. Paypal are idiots and cant follow a conversation or have no ability to reason. I would NEVER buy from him again!

So weirdly, I had a rough but overall good experience here.

I bought a pair of 997 seats from him on eBay and while it took forever to get in transit, and then I called him out on selling me something that was still available on eBay, a pair of nicely packaged seats arrived a couple days later from Canada for $700 all in after shipping and fees.

Definitely a crappy customer experience, but I got what I wanted at a good price. In no way am I defending him - I paid with both Paypal and my CC for added protection.

This is kurt pomerleau who has been charged multiple times with fraud in Canada. I would report any incidents to the RCMP in surrey (Police in Canada) to help build another case against him. He has defrauded countless people.

I bought some crossbars that were supposed to fit the wife’s car.

They didn’t, I documented everything,

The seller delayed and delayed, so I got eBay involved.

Ended up having to ship the incorrect crossbars back to the seller, at my cost.

By the time they got shipped back the window to give feedback had elapsed.

I asked if eBay could adjust that for me so that I can leave feedback, they said no.

Last thing I ever bought on eBay.

Wow, thanks for sharing all of this info. There are relatively few non-dealer sources for Porsche parts in Canada, and dr911.ca is one of them. I purchased a new OE iPod interface cable from him (via Ebay) last summer - it was shipped promptly and as described. Based on that experience I likely would have bought from him again... and maybe gotten scammed for a bigger dollar item. After reading this, I will avoid him like the plague.

Thank you to everyone for sharing your experiences, it's invaluable to the community!

RL members:

Kurt of Dr. 911 CA is an absolute crook. This is not hyperbole, he has literally served time in Canadian prison for scamming people (mostly in the enthusiast car world). A quick google search will show the various last names that he has used over the years. Complete trash.

Indeed. Kurt is a well-documented criminal.
