Default Replacement of side Self Dimming Mirrors porsche 997.2

Hi
I have a 267+271 Self Dimming Mirrors - porsche 997.2 (driver side mirror).
My driver side mirror was broken ..
I want to put a mirror with code 271 (without 267) - it is possible right? I just need to connect the mirror without the connector, right?
Could this disrupt the dimming of my central mirror?
I want to put part number 99773103515 instead of 99773103517.
Thanks

I’m in the same boat with a failing drivers side auto dim mirror. I am not familiar with the codes you mention. My car has auto dim and memory seats.

I did some research on a replacement mirror and for some reason a 997.2 mirror is a good bit more expensive than a 987.2 mirror. If you find a good source for a reasonably priced replacement, I’d like to know.

Yes. Everything works normally except the dimmer.

From what I’m seeing, the pricing is about the same as suncoast and other US sellers. Am I missing something?
