Default 997.1 ignition key not working

Hi guys,.
I have to turn my ignition key multiple times to turn on ignition, key goes smoothly inside the lock, there is no excess play in key reader, but the key just not move to " ignition on " position inside the key reader ( the black colour box, where we insert the key) all the time, it takes 5-6 round.
I asked someone & got new key reader installed, but no success, is my key/ control unit is also bad, there is no code in scanner/ diagnostic tool..
What do u think ..
Thanks

There is no issue with keys fitting in the ignition switch, as it's just a dummy that works with any key. The ignition switch works by sensing a transponder chip in your key and compares it with a code stored in the car's computer. My suspicion would be that this switch is on its way out, but if I understand you correctly then you already replaced this piece, what you called "key reader"?

Can you turn the key but no lights come on, or can you not turn the key?

Maybe time for a new ignition switch. No worries though, it is an easy DIY job

Yes it is the ignition switch that I am saying key reader...
actually I can not turn the key after I insert the key inside ignition switch( I insert the key, it just locks there, I can not turn it), it takes like 5-10 try, than it turns & than only ignition turns on, once key is turned to " ignition on " position, all lights turn on...
Again if I have to start the engine same thing happen, I am not able to turn it to engine-start position, it takes 4-10 trys again to turn the key, feels like key does not want to go to next position .... It starts well though once it is started....
