Correct. I had previously collected OBD data on my car with stock vs. fabspeed CAI, and can confirm. However, from what I remember, it can take some time (at least half a minute) at freeway speeds before the IAT's approach ambient temps. Until then, you are penalized by the hot engine air being sucked into the CAI more so than in the stock airbox. And if the vehicle is only moderate speeds (say 45 mph), there's also a hot air penalty.
