Scale Model 997.2 C2S
Hi Rennlisters,
i have been looking for models of the .2 C2S cars, either diecast or plastic build kits.
There seems to be a few .2 GT cars, Cabs, 4S & Turbos available, but no Carrera 2's
I suppose the rarity can be explained by the 997.2 cars being released right into the GFC storm, no toys for the boys during meltdown.
So, are there any 997.2 C2 models out there?
Cheers,
C

Thanks @Ironman88 it looks sweet, I would paint it to my dark blue/silver wheels.
The GTS is widebody though, but who would know apart from other Rennlisters anyway?

Found this one on Amazon.
I couldn't find a wide body car when I was looking, so I bought a white narrow body, and stripped it and modded the body will filler to make a wide body, then airbrushed the entire thing and clear coated with epoxy. I had to modify the rear suspension to extend the wheels out and mod the turbo rims to match mine. It took a while but I got my car in the end. Its been handled a lot since I did it so its a little rough looking now, but you get the picture. Getting the angles and lines for the rear fenders and rear bumper was a multiple passes...

I have a rather rare 997.2 C2 in Macadamia (same as mine) that took me a while to search and I also have a cabrio Macadamia limited edition that also was a nice purchase. I have flipped the base between to arrive a copy of my car in terms of wheels. I probably will repaint them both using own Macadamia paint mix for better quality as these Minichamps models arent fantastic paint wise anyway. Still it looks the part!
I advise you to set notifications on EBAY and just grab the model you want when it comes up for sale. I did this / took a bit of time but managed. Alternatively on instragram there is a couple of guys doing scale model reviews for Porsches (I also have scale modeling account under same name but I build ships). So one of those guys, 911Scales / he helped me source the Macadamia coupe. Was super happy, he just found a guy who had one on german ebay that didnt come up in my search and I had the car in a week at hand.
Here are some pics of mine models and the real thing:
