Default Wind noise

I have been getting wind noise from my 997.2. I changed the inner weatherstripping and adjusted the striker and it is less, but has not gone away. I noticed water intrusion while washing it this weekend about four inches from the rear corner on the top of the window

. What do I do next?

Try putting painter's tape on the mirror joints/gaps. If that fixes it, remove pieces one at a time until the whistling returns and you'll know which gap is causing it. Tiny bead of silicone caulk should fix it.

Can't recall who suggested this, but it works.

I think you are referring to your door window?

If so, you can adjust the window... you will want to push it out. To do this, you will find four plugs on the underside of your door. You can loosen two nuts up there that will allow the window to move in an out.

I have not made this adjustment on my 997.2, but the dealer made this same adjustment on my 2000 Boxster S. It took the shop foreman 5 minutes. So to be totally honest, I am suspecting Porsche is using the same adjustment system.

Oh, make sure it is up all the way. With the door closed, raise the window all the way, then release the up button and press it again, then again. It should tighten and then reset.

Peace
