Considering an 08 Carrera 4 as my next and 5th Porsche. Auction car and dealer said instrument cluster was replaced. Normal? Red flag? Could this conceal problems, like an altered odometer or over revs on the tach? Any advice or responses appreciated!

I would recommend searching for at least one year newer, the 997.2 with the DFI engine.

Thanks. Why? And do you have advice on the Cluster Replacement question?

The engine was completely redesigned for the 997.2 in 2009. It is bulletproof, no IMS to worry about. Direct fuel injection as well.
Cluster replacement.... don’t like. Does it show true mileage?
