I read this a few weeks ago, but it seems they are referring to a reflector housing halogen, not a projector housing. I think it still applies to a certain extent (I put Diode Dynamic LED bulbs into a Ford Fusion projector), but not as bad as a reflector housing.
My experience was a clear cutoff, but not enough spread from center.
What year is this? I thought all 997s in Canada were HIDs?! Is it base or Carrera S?
Also, from my past experiences, the LED bulbs ALWAYS worked WORSE in Halogen designed housings, either threw codes, or didn't light up as nicely. On my Audi with Halogens, I ended up using higher end, cooler temp Halogen bulbs by Philips and once by Sylvania that looked almost HID but had great lightning and no issues.
Steph - Thanks for all the follow ups. Will wait for your feedback/assessment after the weekend as I I am looking to do the same. Your Targa looks awesome btw.

Alright gents, had a chance to try them while dark and all I can say, is that to my eyes, the light flow seems to be the same as the halogen lamps, except much whiter beam.
I must admit that my work schedule has me in bed early and I seldom drive at night, but as far as I remember, other than the whiter beam, it is the same.
Reason why I changed was to give a more updated light color, given that the low beams are my daytime driving lights.
My experience with LED lights in projector housing is that light pattern is very poor.
Projectors are built for a bulb that sends light in all directions and LED bulbs usually only have 2 or 3 points of light output. If you are getting this experience, you are probably better off getting solid HID bulb/ballast for clean cutoffs and proper output.
