You can not go wrong with Don Wise in Campbell, have been using him for many years, always fine work, very reputable honest and knowledgeable, just an all around nice gentleman.

It appears Heyer Performance is now closed. Does anyone have updated recommendations for Porsche mechanics in the Bay Area, preferably East Bay? Thanks!

I use Hi Tec for all major services and Griffen Motorwerks for minor services. Only positive experiences with both.

There’s a list of Bay Area (and some adjacent regions) Service Shops at the following:

https://rennlist.com/forums/west-us-...-s-a-list.html

If anyone knows of a shop they’d recommend, but is not already included on that list, please shout out…

Thanks!

Karl.

I've had great experiences with Don Wise as well - honest guy who will tell you what you need and don't need. Also points out (physically on the car) what potential issues to look out for.

Regarding @jayzbird comment on Nielsen Tire in San Carlos - I couldn't agree more but unfortunately, Chris had to close shop because of a ridiculous increase in his lease. Haven't found someone else I can totally trust like Chris.
I did try Topline Automobile in San Mateo (TireRack installer) for another car and had a very good experience. They're more costly than others but I'm willing to pay if the job's done right.

Oh man, that is so sad to hear. Nielsen Auto was a gem. Another bummer today is that the 76 on Almaden in SJ has stopped selling 100 unleaded. Still available at the Saratoga 76 though.
