The 991 looks good in that color but I still think it's best on the older shapes, I want to say when i seen the the ingram 993ts he had matching viola hollow spokes on it.

The Bob Ingram cars come to mind. He had the 993tt S and the 918 in Viola Metallic. I know the 918 was one-off. Not sure if there were 1 or 2 993tt Ss in Viola Metallic.

I was under the impression they made 997 too but might be wrong, yes its a great color looks dark in the shade or night and bright purple in the sun!
i dont mind 996 if i can get the color i want.
i dont want to deal with a repaint, had a bad exprice with a paint shop in the past, want to avoid them unless i wreck lol.
991 look great too! but looking for an older model for budget reasons.
thanks so much for the info

https://www.carsauto.com/2000-porsch...ion-c-1676.htm

the picture don’t do it justice for the color. Some look purple, some black, some blue, and and occ green depending on the lighting
they were all Carrera 4’s wth beige interior and every option made
some manuals and some tips

Thats because it’s a differently color. It’s called Violet Chromaflair.

Yeah Doug that's it, he usually shows them both together. He had a few on display at the cincinnati concourse like 6 years ago. No one cared about the magnus walker car that day, ahahaha.

I wouldn't go 996 just for a color, there's to many advantages of the later 997's (even base models) to buy solely on color. If you buy the car based on color alone the after purchase budget could be as big as the regular budget, keep that in mind. I did like that chromfaflair color that was also offered on the millennium edition. It was a real nice color in person.

That is like the coolest Porsche page ever. Click on the color tab and it takes you to this page where you can see all Porsche paint colors since the 60s most of which have real examples and paint rarity scales.
