With lots of time on my hands I had been looking at getting a carbon hood but then remembered that I had a piece of 4d carbon wrap sitting around for the last 7 years from an old project, so I self-trained from YouTube and off I went.
Now I know these guys on YouTube make wrapping look a lot easier than it is and saw one guy wrap a Honda S2000 hood in 10mins, so I figured that I could do it in maybe 1 or 2hrs.
2 hours later I had finished it after getting rid of all air bubbles in one place only to get them in another.
So I was done, looking good and then I made a huge mistake, I cut the wrap too close to the edge of the hood and the edge closest to the windscreen so it wouldn’t wrap around the hood!
I knew it would bug me, especially as it would be in my line of sight so I pulled it all off!
Anyway we all learn from our mistakes and I got a good idea of how a carbon hood looks and I quite liked it, it’s very close to the GT2 RS without the price tag.
