On my 997 NON BOSE 2006 CS2 PCM2.1 unit was missing - uninstalled by previous owner.
If I buy used one does it have to be Non BOSE version or it doesn't matter and BOSE version would also work (of course without certain functionalities) ?

Have you seen the Porsche add for the new PCM for the 996? If you go to you tube, and search "Porsche classic better look twice" Apparently the 996 cars fall under the classic category now.

If you can wait a few years, maybe they will have un updated version for the 997-here is hopping. Lots of options for aftermarket version if there is an empty hole where the radio should be.

man, I wish that fit the 997.1! I guess we have 5 more years till wait for it to be a classic
