Default Coding question 997.2 Foxwell NT530

Any of you coding experts know why I would be locked out of the rear control module? I accessed the rear control module with my NT530 to change the Acoustic Alarm Output from horn to siren so that I would hear a chirp when the doors are locked with the remote.

Now I have a fault code "8061 No Signal/communication DTC-Siren" and the NT530 will not access the rear control module anymore.

I have tested the siren, it works.
Cleared the fault..comes back
Pulled the fuse for the siren replaced.
Let the car sleep overnight.
Locked/unlocked.
Driven a few miles.

None of that has changed the fact I cannot access that one module under programming.

this was also noted in the giant foxwell thread. you will have to use a durmetric pro and or similar device (Piwis) to reset the rear control module and any fault codes - after which you should get control of the module back.

search for that thread here, its like 10 pages so you cant miss it - i recall reading about your exact issue there.

I hate to resurrect an older thread, but this has happened to me as well - DOH!

Is there anyone in the Seattle area that can help? I called the two dealerships that we within driving distance and the $$$ I was quoted made me a little sick. My indy mechanic tried, but no luck - any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
