997.2 GTS 1:18 MODEL, FINALLY!
Finally, someone is making a 1:18 scale model of the 2011 997.2 GTS! I sent GT Spirit a request last year - no idea if that is why they are doing this, but I’m so excited!

If you want one, get your pre order in now! These typically get bought out by Ebayers who scalp them for a lot more money!
10% off right now at Model Kars.

I wish someone like Tamiya wiuld have a 997 non race car model like they have made all other gens prior to 996. I have a bunch of 356, 930, 964, 996, 993... the 997 which I have is elusive. Really would love to paint one in my own car colors. 1/24 scale.

Do they make one for a 997.2 base model? Preferably in a Meteor Grey color.

AutoArt makes the base in Speed Yellow and Guards Red. AutoArt models are even better - they open and the older ones are metal. GT Spirit are still nice, but they are always closed bodies in resin. Unfortunately the industry is all switching to resin closed bodies. Even when you buy a 1:18 model from Porsche, they used to be metal bodies from MiniChamps but are now closed resin bodies. Look for the base from AutoArt. You'll find them on eBay. I have one of those also, in fact I have the entire 997 line. Again, you'll pay a lot more than this deal from Model cars on the pre-order GTS, but if thats the car you're looking for, it is there! I've got 130 of these cars, and I enjoy every one of them!

Ya, Autoart makes good ones, have several of their F1 cars as well. Minichamps are decent as well. A lot of the other brands are total junk out there now days.
