Default 997 forum thanks

Have small lake house in east tenn and getting ready to build retirement house on property, and need to start spending lot of time there to finalize plans/build. Don’t want to drive 911 there once/month and eat tires/miles, so decided to buy road car (yes, keeping 911, even when buy another 911, will keep current 997.2 for rest of my un-natural life).

Looked at Cayenne/Macan and they’re are nice, apologies to those who have them, but (how do i say this without offense) bulky feeling. Also considered another 911 or Cayman (deep thanks to fellow Fort Worth owner who took me ride in Cayman S). Looked for months at 911’s/Cayman’s and finally decided Panamera best fit for use (having additional hauling space is beneficial, including >1 passenger and east tenn 91 yo mother getting in/out). Bought CPO Panny S with literally every mechanical option and it’s incredible. Doubt I’ll really use an option like PTV, but the car will eat miles. It’s a stunning car, but not a 911 .

In prep before buying I’ve been lurking on Panamera forum. Thanks to all who post here, a super, robust forum. Lots of great posts of people working on/mod’ing their 911’s, and I’ve learned a lot. Panamera forum much quieter and few cool mod write ups. Boring compared to here. They don’t even have any manual versus PDK arguments lol!

Keep up the postings, this forum is unique and we should all appreciate the information shared.

Welcome to East TN... Lots of great winding roads for your 911!😁
I'm in Knoxville, but lots of retirees in Tellico.

Thanks, looking forward to returning. Grew up in Oak Ridge. Got first bike at 14 and spent years thru college grad on great roads in Smokey’s and Cumberlands. Tellico was built after I left, parents had house boat on it for several yrs. Our house is on Watts Bar at end of small peninsula across from Kingston. Ready to get back in the mountains and enjoying the curves!

Is p club active there?
