Default Shutting off

I have a 2008 997.1 cpe
When I start the car it turns over and starts as it should but then after so many seconds it shuts off....Has anyone ever encountered this problem before?
Everything to the eye seems to be normal. Maybe a fuel proble?
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Rob

Have you tried to start it and get it a little gas right away just to see if it keeps running ??? and if it does not ...does it chug or run rough for that second before it cuts out or does it just die. If it just dies it sounds like it may be fuel related or the cable that goes from the battery to the starter which is a common issue for our models ..see link below.

Default Operator Failure!!

Thanks for the reply..Yea soooooo it was operator failure lol.
Even though I keep the car in the garage I still keep a cover over it to help with the excess dust etc..I didnt remove the cover fully off of the exhaust tips and basically choked it out!! Lesson learned. Now my baby is happy after doing so and runs like she always have😄😄😄

Oh you shouldn’t have admitted it. Should have blamed your wife. No one on this forum has ever (cough cough) ever done anything associated with self induced user error. It’s always someone else’s fault. We’re all certified.
