Walking up on the car from the rear the other day I noticed RH side tail pipe sagging and heard a clunk later that evening when leaving my driveway and ordered some new mounts

Anyways, during my searches here I have seen 1 person mention that their OEM mount nuts did not work when installing the semi solids. Will i need different nuts or was this a freak exception?

***EDIT....Car is 2009 C2S ......For reference, I am at 67k miles

I've looked into these for a future replacement also, and my understanding is they can be re-used. Granted, the review video I watched on Youtube was on a 997.2, but I imagine it's similar? The guy did however raise the engine a bit with a plank of wood and floor jack from the bottom case to fasten the two bolts back in.

In the video it shows different bushings and new hardware coming with them. The ad from RSS make no mention of all the extras coming with the mounts

Yes I guess the Rennline one's come with different strength/firmness type bushings you can choose from.

If the RSS semi-solids are just one option then they probably come assembled. But installing them back into the car should be fairly simple and fairly similar to what this guy had to do.

The nuts are used to secure the stud into the upper cap. There are two different stud length options ... Since you'll use locktite make sure you select the right length (should be the longer one for a .2 car but pull an OEM mount first to compare).

The original nut works fine.

PS: Nut to nut on the stud. Top cap in a vice. Use locked together nuts to tighten to 65 (if I recall correctly) lb ft.

Just installed the RSS engine mounts. Just reuse the original hardware. Directions I received with the mounts.

I had these on my last 997. This is one of my favorite upgrades! will be added to my new 997 soon ;-)

Apologies, if my post was confusing. I was referring to actual mounting nut that ties the mount to the car. Pretty sure the studs are already mounted to the RSS mounts so no double nutting will be required

Been quite awhile since I’ve double nutted. Forgive me, guess that’s what happens when you double scotch.

Received the mounts yesterday, installed this evening.
NVH went up a little at idle. After the test drive, I like them. No regrets
