Pictures from your recent drives
Hi all,
This thread exists in the 991 forum, and it is one of my favorites. I haven’t seen anything similar in the 997 forum, so starting a 997 version for us.
The idea is pretty simple, post pictures from your recent drives. Pictures of you car, pictures of the scenery, pictures of the road, or really anything relevant to the story of how you are using your 997. Only exclusion is technical/maintenance content. Plenty of other threads for those topics.
I’ll start. Over the holiday break my wife and I loaded the kids into my 997 and her GTI, and drove up into the foothills outside of Denver for a hike. Nice twisty roads, and a nice hike on a surprisingly warm winter day.

You can just make out the 997 and GTI

We’re lucky to have some decent driving roads in this area: https://rennlist.com/forums/west-us-...ing-blast.html

I don't know if I'd describe it as 'epic' (which to me implies world-class, something like the Stelvio Pass), but it's certainly very, very good. That side (up to Lick) has even been mentioned in articles such as:
1) EVO Magazine test drove the S550 GT350 on that road in the May 2016 issue - Henry Catchpole spoke highly of the road
2) Total911 listed it in their Great Road series - https://www.total911.com/route-130-california-usa/
It and Hwy-9 down to Boulder Creek are the two best driving roads in the Bay Area in my experience.
It should be noted that others think the east side (from Livermore) up to Lick is even better, but I've never personally driven it myself - https://goo.gl/maps/C1jbWjsEi1n
