Did they use new caliper bolts?
Its not a hard job by any stretch of the imagination especially if you aren’t replacing calipers and have to take brake lines off.
I don’t think you could actually pay me to take it to some random shop. Then again, just about the only thing they could possibly mess up is cross threading the caliper bolts or not using new ones.

Forget do it yourself. I purchased pads and rotors from that place that has life time warranty and took it to a Discount Tire. They charged me like a $100 or less to do the install at some low as heck hourly rate. I got out for less than $400 for front pads, rotors and sensors installed and I didn’t get dirty or break a sweet.
