This is a great question you ask. When I get home tonight I’ll share a picture of what you see through the grill inserts on the top. I do not like the way mine looks.
Here we go. The only think that I would of done differently is that I would of been very specific that I did not want to see the wiring harness. From above. This is one part of the process that I did not think about. Here are two bad night shots.
@BaileyII Yikes, if there isn't a way to complete tuck the wiring harness along the seam inside of the ducktail then underneath would be the better route. That's almost direct exposure to water when you wash your car.
I’m sure there is I just wish someone would of coached me 1st. I tried taking the fan off then tried to hide the harness. But to be honest I didn’t give it all my effort. At least teddysam1 can use these facts to help in his decision.
BaileyII,
I like the clean look from underneath and don’t particularly want to see the wiring harness from above however, on my test fit you could still see the third brake light wire leading to the third brake light in the ducktail. So, at this point if I can see one wire then what’s two wires. Also, I’m thinking of covering the wires with a plastic wire wrap. Maybe that will look ok......
Unfortunately, for the clean look you have to drill a hole where it can be seen from the top or the wires won’t reach.....thoughts?
