54,000 miles There's no rust in there LOL not on the body anyhow couple of the nuts need a fefurb & they will get it for sure,
Even the bump stop is in one piece although I will be replacing the following parts:
Eibach Springs
Top Mounts
Strut Bearings
Bump stops
Brake Discs
Brake Pads
Brake Wear Sensors
All round Front & Rear

Wow, those mounts look awful. I wonder what the PO did to bend them so badly?

Done a bit more today basically rebuilding the strut assembly... Then unpacked the New Eibach spring which to my surprise its 50mm taller than the spring that i've removed!!
Am I in trouble. Does anyone know what rate spring has the marks shown please.

So I managed to get one corner back on today after a good overhaul.
Here is a picture of before & after. Clearly the top mount plate is designed to fail into the turret space as they did, perhaps after too much abuse ie; track days on the curbs & heavy braking & of course our everyday British Road conditions “Pot Hole Heaven”

Default Sport & Sports Plus Upgrade

Taking my C2S 997.2 into Porsche Centre Wolverhampton today. Having the Sport & Sport Plus Retro fitted. Excited 😝
interesting they did not know it was possible or that Porsche offered it as an option.
so the hardware was ordered from Porsche Germany & they should be fitting today.

@P1Darbs Think of a spring, now uncoil it in your mind, as for it to return to it's original state as a straight bar of spring steel.
The more coils there are on similar springs equals a longer uncoiled rod. The new spring has more coil, therefore it is made from a longer rod of spring steel. Your old spring is made from a shorter rod of spring steel. Now imagine them both clamped horizontally, to a fixture like a work bench, side by side. Place a 10kg weight at the free end of both, the longer rod will bend further down because of the longer "lever arm". So, even as your new spring appears to be taller, its actually softer.

Great reply & yes that makes absolute sense I was just a bit shocked when I compared the 2 springs as the intention was to lower the car by at least 25mm which it has done 👍🏽
