Winter Wheel Fitment Question

Winter Wheel Fitment Question
Hi everyone. I just purchased a used 997.1 C4S and am in love. I am already preparing for winter and looking at different wheel options. I found a set of 18" staggered wheels and was wondering these would fit:
18x8 ET55
18x10.5 ET60
I realize they will need spacers (on the rear at least) to make it look right, but I am looking for rear wheels where I can mount a 265 snow tire for better traction in the snow (so a 10" or 10.5" rim). Just wondering if these will fit? Thanks for the help.

First off.. it's too early to think about winter. Enjoy the summer more while it lasts (at least that's how it is here in the PNW)
I've had 18x8 ET50 and 18x10 ET65 on my 997 (MY02 wheels). My car was lowered, so the wheels had the stance of a 356!
And I had 225/45 and 255/45 tires mounted on them. So you should be fine mounting a 265 on a 10.5" wide wheel.
What you need to ensure is that the total diameter of the tires isn't way off from the factory recommended setup.
That is crucial to limit speedometer errors and possible rubbing as well.

Pirelli Sottozero serie 2 235/40R18, 265/40R18 is an approved tire combo for the 997.1 C4S and the 265 fits fine on a 10" wheel and I use it on my 997.2 C4S. 10" = 254mm and as long as the tire is a bit wider, you are on the right track. I use the same wheel sizes, but I don't think those are the same as my offsets, which I dont have handy at the moment. My winter wheels are the BBS SR. The rears do sit in a bit, but it functions perfectly and is fine with me.

Not sure about that theory.
Now's the perfect time to buy snow tires or maybe even earlier in the year. Things are always more affordable when you don't need them right away. I bought a pair of slightly used (8/10) P-Zeros (305s) for $200 and 4 brand new Potenza's for $75 each.
Every summer and every winter, I buy (new only) last season's clothing and sports gear when it is on sale. I've never paid more than 50% for any Arcteryx or North Face gear, sometimes as little as 20% of retail. Same with many down products, in April and May, Saks was selling down jackets for $29. You can throw them away (or donate) at this price or perfect for wearing around a campfire where embers inevitably float up and burn holes in the nylon.
Works for about every seasonal product - outdoor furniture (buy in the fall) new ski gear (buy in the spring). Bottom line - if I paid retail for everything in my closet, I could not afford a Porsche.
I'm cheap but I like nice things. Buying out of season or when you don't need it is smart money in my experience.
