Alex - had to chime in - we are in the (similar) boat! I'm looking for a 997.2 C2S, manual in dark blue metallic with a non-black interior. So, perhaps a little more specific than your search. It's been tough! I almost jumped on the one for sale right now in the classifieds here but heated seats are a must (and I did all the research about retrofitting which seems to be more trouble than it's worth...). Then I had a Rennlister actually respond to my WTB ad on here, and I immediately showed interest, sent PMs, texted and...radio silence. I thought that was strange but long story short, it's been 6 months now and I haven't found the one. Best of luck!

Thanks for sharing. Well my criteria is also more specific than just 997.2 C2S MT. I want it Sport Chrono, PSE, SPASM and in any exterior color other than brown, black, or red. No Tan/White interior and in full leather. I am afraid that at some point I will have to compromise or cross shop for 991.1 or 997TT...
The ones that come and go on my tracking list don't have few or many features i want, and i really don't want to bother with anything retrofit / aftermarket period.

Ahh gotcha. Yeah I'd also really prefer full leather but not a deal-breaker for me. Did you check out the dark blue metallic 2011 car? Has very nice suspension mods in place. PSE is pretty rare - best bet is probably to just do your own aftermarket job. Best of luck to you! Also, re: radio silence from the Rennlister, that really bothers me - I guess I mistakenly assumed a bit more courtesy from a longtime member, but I'm chalking it up to an anomaly.
I had a similar experience. I was leasing an Audi A4 from Swapalease (they were GREAT; Audi financial was AWFUL). I started dreaming/searching 8 months in advance. 3 months before my lease ended, I found "the" car on autotrader. Even though I was searching nationally, this one was only 30 miles from home. I hesitated, showed the ad to my wife (I married really well/up). She said, "If you think this is the one, you better act now." I said, "Well, I still have 3 months on the lease...." She said, "If this is THE one, don't wait." I followed her sage advice and emailed the guy immediately. Turns out, he had cash offers pouring in from all over, but I was first in line. He is a very honorable gentleman and respected my 1st dibs, even though I asked for a test drive, a PPI, and a long wait for the financing to come through. Due to bank issues and vacation dates, it took almost a month to finally take possession. But I got the exact right car for me. It's been 15 months, and every day I hop into my DD cobalt blue/sand beige '07 C2, it feels like Christmas morning. 50 year dream come true. After 2-stage polish and ceramic coating.
Cheers and good luck to you! Be patient, and be ready to pounce. Spreadsheet compilation will just be an exercise in futility until you are ready to slap your money down.

Yep saw 2011 C2S here and on Auto trader a day earlier. Someone will be happy to own it i am sure. I am somehow gravitate towards grey / silver tones.
Update! Got a lead on a 2010 C2S, PTS Azure blue, manual, full beige leather. Placed deposit last night and awaiting ppi!! Feeling lucky but trying not to get too excited until I see the DME report etc.

Looks fantastic in this pic. Hope it turns out to be as solid as it looks.
If update from OP is of any interest, I have purchased a 2011 C2S MT from a fellow forum member. 1 owner car with very tasteful mods. It will stay on trickle charger till April of 2020.
Believe it or not the car has found me and not the other way around. I am merely a new custodian...
