Default Engine mount needs replacement at 22K miles?

My driver side exhaust tips are hanging lower than the passenger side by about 3/4"

Searches I've done all seem to point to the engine mount. Is it possible it needs replacement due to age (2006 997)?

Seems most people are replacing at much higher mileage so maybe they sag after time too.

Could there be another cause here? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You may want to check if they are leaking... if so, then you should replace one... or both. I don't recall how to get in there... you may need to pull your airbox and stick a mirror down there to see the underside of the mount... you won't see it from the topside. Note, the engine hangs from them.

I replaced the engine mounts on my 27K mile 996 and it didn't help at all.
The exhaust tips are actually adjustable to some extent (at least on my 996) so you might look at the tips first before trying to replace the mounts
