New to me 997.1 & Roof box ?
In addition to my 8 month old acquisition of my Cayenne Diesel, picked this up last week. I’m hooked obvi, full Porsche life service records religiously, high spec with blue interior and PCCB😮 70K Miles 997.1. 2006 C2S
Question is roof box to go between this and Cayenne? Looking at Inno or Thule to mimic factory Porsche box, thoughts?

The closest I see to the OE cargo box is Thule Hyper XL

Thanks for the links, that’s def the Oorsche one. Any experience with the Inno line? That is actually what the parts guy at the Porsche dealer recommended to me, said it was a just as nice a box or better with available slim profile options for half the price

Oh gotcha, I had to buy the Porsche bars or rack for my Cayenne, surprisingly they were only about $380ish I think from Porsche. I’m sure the 911 ones are just different enough so I have to buy two sets😉. I think it’s a little crazy that the 911 ones are that much more, but the Porsche ones fit my Cayenne the best so it is what it is for the 911.
Im thinking I’ll buy the box and try it on the Cayenne first and the grab the 911 bars, already enjoying the 911 has a capable daily so maybe the 911 bars aren’t far behind!

Inno Shadow 14
Believe Inno Shadow 14 is the sleek or slim model you want. A few used ones pop up regularly thru Craigslist for the cargo box and that is where I got mine cheap (but older model - Thule Atlantis 1600). Its not as slim as the Innos but fits all my stuff (996 spare tire, floor jacks, tool box, luggage) for long trips.

Inno Wedge 624
I went with an Inno Wedge 624 roof box on oem racks that I interchangeably swap between my 3 cars (wagon and SUV).. I snowboard (versus Ski) so length of box wasn’t as important to me.

These pics are beyond helpful. I was comparing the 624 and slimmer model. I was concerned the slimmer was going to be too long and have overhang on the 911 interfering with your view out of the windshield.
Ski length here in Florida isn't a big concern either😉
How do you find the quality of the Inno? Nobody around has them in stock to look at. Pretty quite?

In terms of Inno (as a brand) - It is super quiet and very stable. it feels very well made, and the build quality is great. The material seems slightly thicker than Thule and Yakima products. I can't speak to the durability as it's the first Inno box I have owned, and have only had it for about a year. I have owned both Thule and Yakima boxes. The most recent being the Yakima Sky Box 1600, which I sold because I felt it looked a bit too cumbersome and "goofy" on the 911, but fit our wagon and SUV just fine. I didn't like the current lineup that Thule and Yakima was offering so I started to look at alternatives. My favorite was the Whispbar Aero box, but there weren't too many dealers and I couldn't justify the cost.
Happy hunting!

I’m really digging it. The pictures are the first real world pics I’ve found of the Inno box on a 911, though I did see some quick video clips of a white one on a 911. I think in a strange way the rear of the box kind of looks like the wide body of the C4S and matches very appropriately the shape of the car. Thank you again for them.
i was comparing the “Porsche” /Thule box, Inno, and a brand called Packline I think maybe out of Japan. They are very sleek, but pricey and I too am having trouble justifying.
Ill be using the box for similar things like soft sided luggage or when we run out to the farm or the beach and want to put dirty boots and sandy kids toys or bathing suits in them after a long weekend and we (should say I) want to take the 911 with our two young kids. Glad it helps, I can justify the extra cars more!!
