Default Quick Intro and initial thoughts

Hi All
Just a quick intro.
After a long search and ruling out E46 convert (poor body rigidity/leaks), MB SLR (too $$ to fix), Boxster nice but... drove a 911 and was hooked.
Picked up a 2009 4S Cabriolet with 76,500 miles to add to my DD (2016 Audi A6)
Finally had time to detail and post some pics.
Initial thoughts.
1. This Forum is great. I have been lurking for a year and had great support as I moved forward with the purchase, the DIY aspect is fabulous.just change my own oil yesterday first time since I did it on my 1973 Buick Centurion convert in the 70"s as well as all the air filters are all replaced. Door handle and plugs on the to do list.
2. The car is great, Performance is amazing. I really appreciate the unvarnished feel of driving it, very mechanical. Haven't had that since my 2001 A6 2.7T. Current cars are so computerized. It makes me smile every time I get in it and drive
3. If you get one, make sure you put 10%-20% of the purchase price aside for tools, jacks etc.
4. Forgotten how much I enjoy driving with top down.
5. The overall layout seems to make it straight forward to work on.
6. Looking forward to meeting PCA Sacramento members in some of the upcoming events.

One question, is waving to other 911 mandatory?

In summary, no buyers remorse at all, though I did go ahead and purchase a 5 yr/40K warranty
2009 4S
Black on sand/blk bicolor int.
PDK
Heated/vented seats
Blue tooth/Universal Audio
Bose
Sport Chrono
etc.....
MSRP 122,195

Car is now detailed (Merzerna polish and sealant, will probably wax next wash) and fresh fluids (PDK, 4Wheel, oil, brake) in all the proper spots and filters all new.
Thanks again for everybody's input into this forum.
