Is it possible to "turn off" AWD in summer?

It's the **** end of winter, between Fools Spring, and Mud Spring, so the snow and ice has been melting. If we get another snowfall, or I can find a quietish ice bound car park with no one around (I have one in mind), I'll have a go. I just want a nice slippery surface to keep the strain on the car to a minimum.

As i understand it power is only given to the front wheels when it is needed. From everything that i have read in the past it seems like it is normally only 10% to 15% under most normal conditions. With the computer controlling how much power goes to the front and rear wheels it seems like a software bypass would have been a very simple thing for Porsche to add but they chose not to. Maybe a dumb question but Why can’t this theory be tested with the car (all 4 wheels) an inch off the ground?
