Help Needed with Track Tire Choice

Help Needed with Track Tire Choice
After a three year break from DE's, I'm thinking about getting into it again. I had about 130 track days prior to my break from it.
One of my clients has an '07 C4S that is his spare track car (for when his primary car is down) and he's agreed to let me use it for two upcoming events as long as I install tires and pads (and maybe rotors). In the past, I used NT-01's on 18" wheels and R888 in 19's. I thought the NT's were better. I didn't use R888R back then. Not sure if they are better? Or perhaps some Bridgestones might be a better choice?
Since I've been out of this for a while, just wanted to ask what track-only tires are best for a 997 C4S or Turbo. The owner of the car is a bit ambiguous about his preferred tire.
For what it's worth, I will be towing the car to the track.

What wheel size do you have to work with? If 18" to me it's a no brainer NT01. If you have tracked slicks in your prior days, are more than comfortable with the 997 platform on track AND the owner is okay with it, I agree with rap... go hohos. If the answer is 'no' to any of those, stay with R compound.
R888 are great if you are on 19s. I'd reco cup 2s but those are $$$$$ for just a weekend track day.

He's not going to want me to use slicks and having been off the track for so long, it would be best for me to "stick" with R comps. I have my choice though of 18 or 19's.
No go on the R888R's?

19’s the RE71 are a great option and cost effective over CUP2’s. I have a set of those I’m going to be using on some 19 Ultraleggera’s. After that I just picked up a couple sets of E88’s that I’m going to rebuilding and then jumping over to the 245/305 NT01 combo that has become the golden standard of 997 18” track tires.
