I had a member send me a PM and offer up a few new suggestions for the game, or modify the game.
I haven't even had time to really read it over completely due to some personal issues and time management.
I can post what he suggested if anyone thinks there needs to be some rule changes. Tell me what ya think.

Everyone try to weigh in if you like the suggestions or just say "no, keep as is" if you want.

I just saw the results of the last auction on our beloved BaT thread
thought about the new year and some changes
perhaps we could eliminate the current winners list from each post and use it only when
the winner lists a car for auction and the last person ( before lockout ) adds it in
this could eliminate some of the errant DQ's
it would also eliminate the drudgery of the scroll
also - as it is the new year we could reset the current leader board to ZERO - but
modify the scoring for each win
winners only
3 points for being within $250 of the hammer price
2 points for being within $500 of the hammer price
1 point for anything outside of $500
winners are rewarded for accuracy, 1 winner per auction
some of the guys down the line are just never going to catch guys with
8+ wins
again, the points are for winners only - the person who is closest
and the maximum number of points per car would never exceed 3
seems like we have 18+ regulars who are quite consistent in their play
- this just makes it more competitive

yikes! The scoring is a great idea (it would have served me well over all of this so far - I'm usually close on many of them) but what an administrative nightmare for someone. Not sure who would want to do this. I do like the idea of only posting the winners list after each auction and the winner is selected. Overall, good to take a fresh look.

Glad you said it. I wasn't really a fan of the changes either.
As far as posting the win list each time or not, doesn't matter to me either.
Other than the minor frustration of having to scroll back a way to find it and then copy / paste when posting a new auction, that's fine too.
The only thing we Could do about the win list, is Start keeping track of YEARLY wins. Having a Yearly champion but still posting each year on the win list.
Meaning, we'd start over each year to give everyone a fair shot at being a "champion".
