Default Ledermanz Steering Wheel

Hey Guys,

I finally got my wheel back from Latvia. The quality from Ledermanz is super top notch and everything that I was hoping for. He is really an amazing craftsman. I had to pay a bit extra to retain the heating function but, to me, that was important. I went with a semi-flat top and bottom. Some curvature on the bottom corners. Thick alcantara and red stitching. I think it came out amazing. The process to get this done required a lot of patience. Interestingly, I communicated with Ledermanz only through Instagram. But it all worked out well. Total time was about 1 month. 1 week transport to Riga, two weeks building time, and 1 week back. It is definitely a winter project but totally worth the trouble. I have a few questions:

I have reconnected everything and installed. There is a very small wire that I do not remember when I took it out. I cannot find the plug for it. I am hoping it was tucked away as I have done and not used. Is it not exposed because the wheel was totally rebuilt? See picture attached.

Also, a larger problem. The airbag is not popping back out to sit flush with the wheel. It is inset. When you turn the key you can hear the horn sounding. I do not think I have wires snugging up to the airbag and preventing it from popping back out. I have removed the 3 clear sticker shims. I have pulled the airbag and reset several times with no change. Any advice?

A few pics. Can't wait for spring!

Make sure that the horizontal bars (the ones where the airbag hooks hook on) are pressed down and kept down by the middle spring.

Isn't that wire for the heating function?

I have tried your recommendation but it did not resolve. I believe the heat function is the larger 2prong wire just bottom-left of the spindle.

I gave the airbag a solid punch and all is well now. Thanks y’all.

Ps, the little wire is the heating switch which I need to route into the bottom of the wheel.
