Default 300,000 Miles in my two Porsches so far... You?

2009 C2S 130K miles....

Do you know how many miles you have driven in / or owned a Porsche car in total?

Thinkin'.... then it dawned on me.... I am outta beer!!! So, on my way to the beer store, I thought...... and realized that I have driven 300,000 miles in my two Porsches. I think that is quite a bit in a country where we throw things away for a rattle or if we think a new one will get us companionship. Full disclosure... these cars never got me companionship..... although my 2009 gives me wetness when it rains... I STILL HAVE THAT F'n LEAK from the sunroof.

My 2000 Boxster S... purchased new... got 197K miles on it,
2009 C2S... purchased used with 26K miles, now 130K miles on it.

That's a lot of miles I think. How many miles have you owned Porsche cars?

Peace

Impressive! Roughly 45 K miles in 5 years as a fun car. Mid 50s, sunny and dry - so I put 200+ more miles today just enjoying the back roads of North Texas and southern Oklahoma finding the most convoluted route I could to a bbq joint the wife likes...T

This is only my second Porsche, but both were daily drivers. My first Porsche was in High School, Porsche 924, so I have no idea on the mileage. This last one I have almost had a year and have put 16,000 on it. Can’t wait for as many miles as Bruce someday.

Wow! Impressive.

Between my 997.2 and former GT4 I have 17,895 miles. Last few years I haven't been able to get kms on as they are not DD and had two kids.

Wow Bruce, that's impressive! Hope to be up there some day. I'm a relative newbie to Porsche, but it gives me peace of mind that they can be robust machines with proper maintenance. I've only put 10k miles on between my 997/Cayenne since they came home last year

I'm no stranger to high mileage in the BMW world though. My E36 has just a hair over 240k, my E46 just ticked 106k, and my E90 is still quite a baby with 48k.

Hmmm... that's going to take some estimating. Ix drove a 914 through high school and college, including a number of VA to GA trips, VA to NY trips, VA to MA trips, and a couple VA to FL Spring Break runs. Parked it in 93, but restored it in 2003.

I'll use 10k miles a year through high school and college, so that's 80k miles, then only 4k miles per year since the restoration, so 15 years x 4k = 60k.
  • 914 - 140,000 miles
  • silver 997 - 20,000 miles
  • pink 997 - 65,000 miles, but I'm not going to count these in my total since very few of them are mine, and mostly the wife's
  • 928 - 25,000 miles
  • Cayenne - 5,000 miles
So, about 190,000 happy Porsche miles for me and around 250,000 if you combine the wife and I.

I can’t touch your 300,000 miles, but I’ve done alright. Drove the Cayenne S approximately 130,000 miles (mostly me, but some of these are wife miles). I put about 75,000 miles on the 996. I drove the 997 roughly 20,000 miles, and I’ve driven the 991 roughly 11,000 miles. So, that gives me about 236,000 Porsche miles.

Hard to really focus and add numbers on a Sunday morning. I have owned Porsches since the late 1980s.

One revelation......I need to drive my Porsche and stop saving it for the next owner.

Most impressive.

I was hung up on needing the motor directly behind the seats for most of my life so I'm late to the game.

I've got over a million miles under my belt, but only 85K miles with my C4S over the last four plus years.

I continue to kick myself for being so pig headed that I side stepped Porsches for so many years

Congrats and cheers to all of you lucky long haulers

Only one Porsche, and not sure I can afford another (we'll see) but +5k in 6 months from a weekend car. I think I've gone mad, does anyone else drive 150 miles on a Sunday morning just for the heck of it?

Hum between former 996 '05 C4S and current '09 S cab. 110k, with 70k in current.

Pure Bliss...at a price though. No mistake, they are expensive to own but am
spoiled. Nothing else comes close.

I've done over 350K, but in my old Saabs, from 1996 to 2014, both classic 900s, one a convertible, one a coupe. Sadly, the Saabs are now sold to make room for my Cayman, since I now have 2 P-cars at once.. Not changing my username, though!

In the P-cars I've got about 65K, between the various ones.

Bought my first one 3 days ago and we are at about 400 of the best miles I’ve ever driven! (Panamera GTS)

Welcome to the madness! I've driven over 100 miles round trip just to get gas and came home with about the same in the tank as when I started. You're doing it right!
