Default electrical problem

I have a message on my dash--Systems fault visit workshop. I was told I had faults at codes 127,131,141 due to short in system. About $3000 to repair . Any help. Car seems to drive fine. Thanks Bill

you're going to have to elaborate a little. Year of car? and modifications? who gave you that diagnosis, and did they say why they believed it to be a short? did you get a second opinion?

i believe the last two codes you listed have to do with the oxygen sensor circuits. I'd start there.

Sorry 2006 911S cabriolet. I changed the battery after being told a low battery could have caused it. Dealership in Mobile says about $3000 to repair the various "shorts"

Did they clear all the codes and they came back? If not cleared, how long/far has the car been driven since the battery was changed? Typically, bad or long-time-disconnected battery tends to throw a bunch of random codes, which eventually reset themselves but it takes time. Smart or not, the first thing I tend to do if I get a code (on any car) is clear it. Many times it's just a glitch. If there's really something wrong, the code should reappear right away or in a brief while.
